Message from the Chairman
Tokushima University (TU) and National Taiwan University of Science and Technology (NTUST) have established “Tokushima University Education and Research Center at Taiwan Tech” at National Taiwan University of Science and Technology on June 26th, 2014. Bilateral collaborative research projects between TU and NTUST have been launched to promote their research work and achievements to the international academic and industrial societies. As one of the commemorative events, the First International Forum on Advanced Technologies: IFAT2015 was held in Tokushima (Japan) organized by both Universities on March 9th, 2015. After the success of IFAT2015, IFAT2016 and IFAT2018 were held in Tokushima (Japan), while IFAT2017 and IFAT2019 were held in Taiwan. In 2020, TU tried to conduct the IFAT2020 in Tokushima, but due to the pandemic of COVID-19, the committee decided to cancel the IFAT2020 on-site event. However, the forum was formed by releasing all the abstracts presented at the IFAT2020 to those who registered through the website. In 2021, NTUST successfully launched the IFAT2021 as a showcase for ongoing collaborative researches between TU and NTUST in progress. In 2022, the IFAT community at TU is honored to host the Eighth International Forum on Advanced Technologies: IFAT2022 online. The scope of this forum includes a wide range of technologies that cover the following topics, but is not limited to:
- Nanotechnology and Advanced Materials
- Advanced Measurement and Plasma Technologies
- Advances in Processing and Manufacture of Electronic and Electrical Components
- Optical Engineering and Imaging Sensing Techniques
- Deteriorations and Retrofitting Techniques for Civil Engineering Structures
- Emerging Fields and New Technologies
- Industrial Management and Design
On behalf of the IFAT2022 committee, we warmly invite you, scientists, engineers, and students to take part in this forum with your enthusiasm to create innovative technologies. The students are encouraged to explain their work in poster presentations.
