Message from the Chairman

Tokushima University (TU) and National Taiwan University of Science and Technology (NTUST) have established “Tokushima University Education and Research Center at Taiwan Tech” in National Taiwan University of Science and Technology on June 26th, 2014. Collaborative research projects between TU and NTUST have been launched in order to promote their research work and achievements to the international academic and industrial societies. As one of the commemorate events, the First International Forum on Advanced Technologies: IFAT2015 was held in Tokushima (Japan) by both Universities on March 9th, 2015. After the success of IFAT2015, IFAT2016 and IFAT2018 were held in Tokushima (Japan), and alternatively IFAT2017 and IFAT2019 were held in Taiwan. Kyushu Institute of Technology (KIT) has also kept strong international collaborations with NTUST. In 2019 KIT has joined to the IFAT community and attended IFAT for the first time.
The IFAT community is honored to host the Sixth International Forum on Advanced Technologies: IFAT2020 in Tokushima, Japan. The scope of this forum includes a wide range of technologies which cover the following topics, but is not limited to:

  • Nanotechnology and Advanced Materials
  • Advanced Measurement and Plasma Technologies
  • Advances in Processing and Manufacture of Electronic and Electrical Components
  • Optical Engineering and Imaging Sensing Techniques
  • Deteriorations and Retrofitting Techniques for Civil Engineering Structures
  • Emerging Fields and New Technologies
  • Industrial Management and Design
